Speaking during a meeting with President of the Senate of France Gérard Larcher on Wednesday in Paris, Boroujerdi, referring to the developments in bilateral relations over the past year particularly President Rouhani's trip to France and signing cooperation documents between the two countries, said the development will lead to long strides in mutual ties.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations between Iran and France, as well as some regional issues, including the crisis in Syria, developments in Iraq, Yemen's crisis, presidential election of Lebanon and fight against terrorism and ISIL.
Larcher conveyed his warm greetings to Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, and welcomed strategic dialogue between the heads and members of Foreign Policy Commissions of the two Parliaments.
He said in the wake of the nuclear deal and the lifting of sanctions and the development of bilateral relations, the two sides should be able to support economic institutions and their cooperation making their activities easier by removing banking problems.
In the case of Syrian crisis, the two sides acknowledged the principle of achieving a political solution and underlined the importance of Syrian people's right to choose for their own fate.
